Report on Treatment of 41 Patients using the �Uro-Biofon� Apparatus.

The treatment was conducted by the �Uro-Biofon� apparatus for IR-therapy. 41 patients were treated (30 females, 10 males and one child).

The boy of 10 years old received a course of treatment with diagnosis: urethrostenosis against the background of the operated phimosis. After the operation there were manifestations of urethritis and cystitis over a period of 1 year. The boy was uneasy about urethral burning; the urine analysis pointed out at leukocytosis, the urine stream was intermittent and small, the patient felt repletion of the urinary bladder and suffered from frequent uresis. He received the �Uro-Biofon� apparatus treatment on a daily basis for 5 days, then twice a week.

Concurrently, he received a course of lydasa electrophoresis on the penis region. The dynamics was slightly positive. The men received treatment by the �Uro-Biofon� for chronic prostatitis � 9 patients, gonorrhea � 1 patient. Before the treatment they had suffered from pruritus and urethral burning, pains in the perineum, edema of the urethral lips, leukocytosis of the urethra smear had been above 40. All of them had been treated by an urologist. Of all methods of physical therapy they received courses of �� therapy, laser-therapy and magnetotherapy. All patients were treated by the �Uro-Biofon� apparatus 6-7 times. The appreciable amelioration was observed; the uresis pains and urethral burning vanished. The leukocytosis of the urethra smear came down only to a few. It should be noted that after 5 sessions of the �Uro-Biofon� treatment, one patient felt adequately. But in two weeks the pains, burning and urethra purulent discharges occurred again.

The other patient felt much better after two procedures.

The females received the �Uro-Biofon� treatment for the following:

Salpingo-oophoritis � 5

Endometritis � 3

Chlamydiosis � 3

Mycoplasmosis � 1

After abortion against the background of a inflammatory process for prophylaxis of acute condition � 5

The patients are treated for chlamydiosis according to the scheme recommended for average forms of diseases: five times on a daily basis then twice a week.

The treatment courses for salpingoophoritis and endometritis were performed 7-8 times by the �Uro-Biofon� in combination with the antibiotic therapy.

Judging from the results of US-investigation, smear, objective and subjective data, the results of treatment were adequate. The treatment for thrush was conducted 14 times.

In the course of treatment the patients felt better; after two-week recess of the thrush manifestation. It was carried out five sessions of treatment for mycoplasmosis; the patient did not come for subsequent treatment. In the course of treatment the patient felt adequately. Before the �Uro-Biofon� treatment, the women with staphylococcus carriage diagnosis had been treated using a quartz lamp and antibiotics. The Staphylococcus was determined in smear. After 5 sessions of the �Uro-Biofon� therapy, the smear analysis for staphylococcus was negative.

For preventing acute condition of inflammatory process in female genitals after abortion, the �Uro-Biofon� therapy was provided 2-3 times every day. Among five females, acute condition was not observed. The good results were achieved in treating eight females with bacteriurea. Before the �Uro-Biofon� treatment, leukocytes in quantities had been defined by analysis of the urine; erythrocytes � 5-10 in the field of vision and more; protein � 0.325; bacteria �+�; mucus �+�. The leukocytes in quantities were determined by Nechiporenko analysis; erythrocytes � 5000. After three daily sessions the urine analysis have shown protein equal to 0, bacteria �-�, L-2-3 in the field of vision. Nechiporenko analysis have shown leukocytes � 750, erythrocytes � 250. The check analysis within two weeks after treatment � in accord with accepted standard.
