The "Biofon" Apparatus in Treating Acne DiseasesR.M.Zagrtdinova, I.M. Belashova, Y.I. Ivanova.Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Republic Dermatovenereological Dispensary, Izhevsk.Acne disease occurs in the juvenile age, and St. aureus is sure to play an important role in its etiopathogenisis, that's why administration of antibacterial preparations is fully justified. It's not also a secret, that antibiotics cause a number of side-effects, namely: dysbacteriosis, allergic reactions and toxic effect on the body. In this situation search and development of non medicamental methods of treatment is quite justified. One of such methods is using a "Biofon" apparatus, the principle of action of which is based on changes of electrostatic potential on cell membranes of microorganisms, leading to inactivation of them. 130 patients at the age of 12-19 with acne disease were examined (pustular acne – 72 patients, phlegmonous – 28, abscessed – 7, conglobate – 9, fusing – 14)., 72 of them being males and 58 females. St. aureus was isolated in all the patients. The complex treatment of the patients included a course of broad spectrum antibiotics (erythromycin, tetracycline), antymiotic, Zinc oxide, local effect. In the course of therapy of 80 examined patients antibiotics were replaced by "Biofon" procedures (RF Patent No. 2055604) (2 sessions a day for 10-15 days). Antimyotics were not administered as the apparatus causes inactivating inhibiting effect on Candida albicans as well. Pustular eruptions in patients, undergone the course of treatment by the "Biofon" apparatus, regressed beginning with the 6-10th session. Side-effects were not noted in contrast to the group of patients receiving antibiotics. |
